UPDATE: POLICE OBTAIN WARRANT FOR ARREST FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION 

On Friday, February 2, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., the Akwesasne Mohawk Police executed a search warrant at a Kawehno:ke residence subject to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. Upon entry and a subsequent search, police located two loaded handguns. Further search with the assistance of an Ontario Provincial Police K9 resulted in approximately three (3) ounces of cocaine being found in the residence as well as cash currency.
 
As a result of the search warrant, police have charged Calvin J. Square, 47, of Akwesasne with numerous firearms and drug related charges. Square is facing 35 charges in total and investigators have obtained a warrant for his arrest.
