MCA WELCOMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Mills to the position of Executive Director, beginning May 1, 2023. Tim is a familiar face to many in our community, both as a partner in his past role as the Senior Administrative Officer of the Township of South Glengarry and in his previous roles as Superintendent and Principal in the Upper Canada District School Board.

 

Tim is a skilled and experienced senior executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the delivery of public services, education, and community infrastructure. His diverse experience and emphasis on supporting and developing people position him well to lead MCA’s Administration.

 

Tim has always placed family and community as top priorities in his life. His devotion to community is clear from his decades of volunteering with local community organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, United Way, and the Cornwall Tourism Development Fund, among many others.

 

Tim was selected following a thorough, national search process which resulted in a field of exceptional candidates. Our Council believes that Tim’s experience in infrastructure and public services, his commitment to learning and innovation, and his mix of skills and leadership qualities position him for success in leading our organization forward. MCA would like to congratulate Tim on his new role and extend our deepest gratitude to Donna Roundpoint for her leadership as Interim Executive Director since Ann Seymour’s recent departure.
