TSI SNAIHNE WADE LAFRANCE MEMORIAL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
TENDER FOR CONTRACT 2020-001 – PHASE 2 WADE LAFRANCE MEMORIAL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION IN SNYE, QUEBEC
Tenders, sealed in envelopes and clearly marked as to the contents, will be received by Leslie Papineau, A/Director, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Department of Infrastructure, Housing & Environment (DIHE) Administration Building No. 3, Cornwall Island, Ontario K6H 5T3, Telephone (613) 936-1548, until:
11:00 a.m., Local Time, June 9th, 2022 for the construction of the works described below.
On the same day, commencing at 11:05 a.m. local time, the tenders will be opened and read publicly at CIA #3 on Cornwall Island.
The work consists of existing asphalt removal, addition of granular A’ road base, culvert replacements, ditch grubbing, and repaving of Wade Lafrance Memorial Road; from McDonald Road Intersection to Chapman Road Intersection. Whoville Road and Hawthorne Road will also be surfaced which consists of scarifying existing granular surface, addition of new granular A’, and asphalt paving.
Plans, specifications and tender forms may be obtained from the DIHE office starting on May 24th, 2022.
Tender submissions must be accompanied by a tender deposit payable to the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne as follows:
- for First Nations contractors in the form of a certified cheque, bank draft or money order in the amount of 10% of the total tender price to a maximum of $20,000.
- for all other contractors as a Bid Bond for an amount equal to 10% of the total tender price.
Evaluation of all tenders will follow the Tendering Policy of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, which is intended to increase the participation of local and other Aboriginal businesses in construction and materials supply contracting.
Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
