2022 HALF LOAD ROAD RESTRICTIONS FOR TRUCKERS & SHIPPERS

Please be advised that all roadways under the jurisdiction of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will have a posted weight limit of five (5) tonnes per axle (also known as “Half Loads”), effective Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 through May 13th, 2022. This is to protect the road system during the spring thaw.

 

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police will be monitoring vehicle traffic and enforcing the weight restrictions while they remain in place.
