UPDATE ON COVID-19 OUTBREAK AT TSIIONKWANONHSO:TE LTC FACILITY
MCA’s Department of Health (DOH) would like to notify the community that the Tsiionkwanonhso:te Long-Term Care Facility (LTC) has been officially removed from Outbreak Status. The DOH was notified by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit after LTC staff and residents completed two weeks of negative COVID-19 test results.
In order to be removed from Outbreak Status, all LTC staff, residents, and administration who work or reside in the facility had to test negative for COVID-19 for two consecutive weeks.
On behalf of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, the DOH would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to our LTC residents, residents’ families, and the community, for their continued support, thoughts, prayers, and understanding during a very tumultuous time. We’d also like to thank the LTC staff for their dedication and diligence during this time.
