MCA COMMUNITY IN QUARANTINE SERVICES LIMITED

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is notifying the community that the Community in Quarantine Program (food deliveries) is not available to those quarantining from recent travel or vacation.  The services are intended to assist those who are unexpectedly required to quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19. Vacationers are advised to ensure they have a plan in place for quarantine upon their return that will include delivery of groceries for 14-days.  
 
We continue to advise the community that travel outside the 100-mile radius is restricted, in the interest of community safety.  Information about the variants of concern (VOCs) and the effectiveness of vaccines against them are still emerging, and we are taking every step possible to shield our community from COVID-19 illness and death.  Your cooperation is appreciated and will assist our community in managing the number of COVID-19 cases impacting Akwesasne.  
 
If you are returning to Akwesasne from outside the travel radius, please ensure you quarantine for 14-days.
