REMINDER: ArriveCAN APP MUST BE COMPLETED BY ANY NON-AKWESASNE RESIDENTS TRAVELLING THROUGH CBSA PORT OF ENTRY

The Canada Border Services Agency and Mohawk Council of Akwesasne are reminding the community and travellers arriving to the CBSA Cornwall Port of Entry that only residents of Akwesasne are exempt from completing the ArriveCAN app.    

With the recent COVID-19 testing requirements lifted by Canada for short trips across the border (72 hours or less), there is an increase in traffic at the port of entry and some clarity needed about the requirements.  

 

Anyone arriving to a CBSA border crossing must complete the ArriveCAN app for COVID-19 screening purposes.  Akwesasne residents with Indigenous Services Canada status cards have been exempt from this requirement, but the exemption does not extend to family and friends visiting Akwesasne.
