COMMUNITY HEALTH ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO VACCINE CLINIC DATES
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Community Health Program (CHP) is informing the community of a change in dates for upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinics. CHP staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
The COVID-19 Moderna vaccination clinic that was scheduled for Monday, February 14th will be moved to Friday, February 11th. The clinic will be scheduled for 1st and 2nd doses of Moderna from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., and 3rd doses from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility. Appointments will be required.
The Pfizer vaccination clinic on February 9th will remain as scheduled at the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility. Ages 12 and up will take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., with pediatric doses (age 5-11) scheduled from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available for ages 12-17; to be eligible for the booster dose, you must be three months out from your second dose. Individuals 12 years of age and older who had been infected with COVID-19 after their primary series (2 doses), but before the booster dose, are recommended to receive their booster dose three (3) months after the onset of symptoms or positive test result (if asymptomatic). Appointments will be required.
A Pfizer vaccination clinic will be scheduled for Monday, February 14th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd doses for ages 12 and up. Appointments will be required.
