AMPS ARREST TWO INDIVIDUALS IN POSSESSION OF FIREARMS ON KAWEHNO:KE

On April 13, 2022, Akwesasne Mohawk Police were conducting general patrol duties on Cornwall Island when two suspicious males were observed attempting to hide in a wooded area on McCumber Rd. Police intercepted both males who were found in possession of loaded firearms, currency, and a number of cellular phones.

 

Both males were identified as residents of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and have been charged with a number of firearm-related offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
