TRADITIONAL FISHING TECHNIQUES

30Thompson Island Cultural Camp is excited to host a weekend class on traditional fishing techniques! TICC will be joined by experienced fishermen to teach participants how to make a nightline, gillnet & seine net. Instructors will demonstrate how to bait and use nets as well as spearfishing at night.

 

The class will be held from September 15-17, 2023 and is open to Akwesasronon. Participants under the age of 18 are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
