ARENA PLAYGROUND & SPLASH PAD PROJECT TO BEGIN
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Economic Development would like to inform the community that the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena Playground & Splash Pad Project is scheduled to commence the first week of May 2024.
This project is expected to last approximately 8-10 weeks with an anticipated completion date in July 2024.
As we embark on this exciting venture, it is imperative to prioritize the health and safety of all individuals involved, including the workers, community members, and visitors. Therefore, strict adherence to health and safety protocols will be enforced throughout the project. This includes but is not limited to:
- Ensuring no access to the construction area except workers.
- Safe storage of equipment, tools, and in construction areas.
- Enforcing distancing measures to portions of the walking trail and limiting the number of individuals near site when possible.
- Conducting regular safety inspections to identify and mitigate any potential hazards.
Please note that during the construction period there may be some disruptions to the surrounding areas, particularly the walking trails adjacent to the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we will strive to minimize disruptions as much as possible.
