NON-INSURED HEALTH BENEFITS UNVEILS NEW MEDICAL TRANSPORT VAN

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Non-Insured Health Benefits Program (NIHB) is notifying the community that they have purchased an updated medical transportation van. The new van is expected to be in service by June 2024 after undergoing certain specifications to accommodate medical transport requirements and safety standards.

 

The new medical transport van can accommodate up to four wheelchairs and also has a new hydraulic lift for easier wheelchair accessibility. The new van also has upgrades for a smoother and quieter ride for the drivers and clients.

 

The Non-Insured Health Benefits Program looks forward to putting the new van on the road and into regular use for its clients.
