MAKING A SPLASH AT THE A’NOWARA’KO:WA ARENA
Today, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne was thrilled to unveil the new playground and splash pad at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena! 
Despite cloudy skies, the smiles were shining bright as AMBE’s Kawehno:ke Early Years Summer Camp dropped by for some epic playtime and splash-tastic fun.
A big nia:wen goes out to everyone who joined us for this special celebration and helped make it a day to remember!
The project was a combined effort of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Economic Development and Department of Community & Social Services. Our objective was to enhance the arena grounds for increased safety, outdoor activity, and community wellness.
The playground and splash pad provide varied play options, promoting physical activity and interaction amongst children in a safe environment. The new amenities help the arena grounds serve as a communal space where Akwesasronon can socialize, engage in physical activity, and spend quality time together.
Overall, these additions contribute to making the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena a more vibrant, healthy, and attractive community hub!
When coming to visit, please avoid drop-offs and keep a close watch on the little ones to ensure everyone’s safety.
