LAND-BASED HEALING PROGRAM DONATES ICE RESCUE SUITS TO HAVFD
On July 19, the MCA Department of Health’s Land-Based Healing Program (LBH) presented three brand-new ice rescue suits to the Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department at Station #2 on Kawehno:ke!
Thanks to the LBH’s secured funding, the fire department now proudly owns these state-of-the-art suits, which are fully waterproof with watertight hoods, integrated gloves, and attached boots. This essential gear will help to enhance the HAVFD’s rescue missions during our cold winter months.
A big shoutout to Deco Stop Outdoor Centre in Lancaster, ON for providing these lifesaving Mustang Survival suits!
