PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR KAWEHNO:KE APARTMENT ROAD RESIDENTS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform residents that emergency repairs on the Kawehno:ke water main have been completed and water service has been restored to the Kawehno:ke Apartment Road area. However, as a precaution, the MCA Water and Wastewater Program advises affected residents to boil their tap water before use.

This advisory is in effect for the next 24 hours (until September 24, 2024 at 12 p.m.).

To ensure safety, bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then let it cool before use. Boiling will eliminate any harmful microorganisms.
