MCA ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE OF DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY & SOCIAL SERVICES

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is announcing the departure of Director of Community & Social Services Joseph Morin-Lauzon, effective April 1, 2025.

Mr. Lauzon served in this role for three and half years, contributing to the growth of the department’s services, especially in the areas of child rights, special needs, and homelessness. His pursuit of partnerships, internally and externally, has created and enhanced lasting services that support and improve the lives of our families.

We thank Mr. Lauzon for the years of service he dedicated and wish him the best in the future.

DCSS Associate Director Valerie Cree-Cook will serve as acting director while the position is posted and filled.
