APPLICATIONS FOR MACHINE READABLE ZONE STATUS CARDS AVAILABLE AT OVS

The MCA Office of Vital Statistics is now available to assist community members with the application process for the new status cards with the machine readable zone.

Previously, the MRZ cards could be attained through special intake sessions held within Akwesasne — OVS is now able to provide assistance to community members that wish to fill out an application.

MRZ cards will be mailed after the application is processed from Indigenous Services Canada. It may take four weeks or longer to receive your card.

If you would like to apply for a machine readable status card, please visit the Office of Vital Statistics at CIA #3 on Kawehno:ke. Individuals applying will need 2 pieces of identification and should prepare to be photographed.
