AKWESASNE COURT — RESULTS OF TSIKARISTISERE/DUNDEE LAND CLAIM APPEALS
The Akwesasne Court would like to provide formal notice regarding the results of appeals to the Tsikaristisere/Dundee Land Claim referendum.
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the Chief Referendum Officer are the respondents in each appeal filed in the Akwesasne Court of the Tsikaristisere/Dundee Claim Settlement Agreement Referendum (the “Referendum”) pursuant to s. 19.3(a) and (b) of the Tsikaristisere/Dundee Claim Settlement Agreement Special Referendum Regulation (the “Regulation”).
In accordance with the s. 20.11 of the Tsikaristisere/Dundee Claim Settlement Agreement Special Referendum Regulation, the decision(s) of the Akwesasne Mohawk Court on an appeal under article 19.0 are final.
