DRIVE-THROUGH FLU SHOT CLINIC TO BE HELD ON KAWEHNO:KE
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health would like to announce that they will be offering a drive-through seasonal influenza vaccination clinic at the Kawehno:ke Medical Clinic.
This is in addition to the previous launch of the 2020-2021 Universal Influenza Immunization Program. To reduce the risk of severe illness that could potentially arise from co-infection with COVID-19 and influenza, individuals who are at high risk of severe COVID-19-related illness, or those capable of transmitting influenza to those at high risk of severe and critical illness related to COVID-19, are particularly recommended to receive the influenza vaccine this fall.
Community members can attend the clinic on Thursday, October 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only.
To book your appointment, please contact the KMC at 613-932-5808. We ask that those scheduled for a flu shot please be respectful and arrive on time for your appointment. There will be a waitlist for the clinic; if you cannot attend your appointment, give us a call and we can arrange for your spot to be filled.
Reminder: Those receiving their flu shot in their vehicle (car, bike, ATV, etc.) will be screened for COVID-19 and required to wear a face covering.
