MCA EXTENDS CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES TO STEVE JOCK

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and Department of Infrastructure and Housing would like to congratulate Steve Jock on his retirement.
Steve has been with the Department of Infrastructure and Housing for 23.1 years. He has mainly worked as the Head Caretaker of the Building Maintenance Operations Administration Buildings Sector.

Steve is the highest example of a dedicated and responsible employee. The organization could count on him through the heat of summer and cold of winter to make sure that all of the administration buildings in the village were open to receive all of its workers and then to ensure the buildings were closed down in the evenings and kept safe. He was called in during his off hours for unforeseen building needs and he was always present. His coworkers will miss his laughter the most.

Acting Director Leslie Papineau shared, “We at the DIHE/ DTS are sorry to see Steve go. However, this is a much-deserved retirement, and we are grateful for his dedication, knowledge, teamwork, and the level of hard work that he put in over the many years of employment within our department. We wish him much success and happiness as he begins this new chapter in life. It’s been a pleasure working with him and we wish him all the best in his new adventures! Congratulations Steve!”
