CELEBRATION OF LIFE CONFERENCE 2024
Join the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program for a powerful journey at the 24th Annual Celebration of Life Conference on November 14-15, 2024! This year’s theme, The Power of Story, highlights the strength, wisdom, and resilience found in our shared experiences. We will gather Indigenous leaders, advocates, culture keepers, and activists from across Turtle Island to explore the significance of oral histories, celebrate our cultural practices, and uplift the voices of Akwesasne’s courageous survivors.
The event will feature award-winning journalist Angela Sterritt as our keynote speaker, along with Indigenous change-maker Sarain Fox, Onondaga medium & filmmaker Jessie Anthony, and Akwesasronon dancer Feryn King.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy a day of inspiration featuring:
