AMPS POLICE BLOTTER (JULY 21, 2020)
Obstruct
Stewart L. Leaf, 47, of Akwesasne was arrested on July 2nd, 2020 and charged with obstructing a peace officer. It is alleged on July 2nd, 2020, police followed a vessel to a private landing and the suspects inside the vessel fled on foot. The male prevented police from speaking to the individuals on the vessel. The male was taken into custody and later released to attend court at a later date.
Mischief
Robert T. White, 63, & Heather M. White, 36, both of Akwesasne were charged with Mischief stemming from a land dispute in Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island) on May 22nd, 2020. Both were arrested and released on conditions to appear in court at a later date.
Mischief, Attempt Break & Enter, and Criminal Harassment
Curtis J. White, 40, of Akwesasne was charged with Mischief x 2, Attempt B&E, and Criminal Harassment stemming from a land dispute in Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island) on May 21st, 2020 and May 23rd ,2020. The male was arrested and released on conditions to appear in court at a later date.
Uttering Threats
John S. Boots, 49, of Akwesasne was arrested on May 21st, 2020 and charged with Uttering threats. It is alleged on May 21st 2020, police were called to residence regarding threats to another person. The male was later located and taken into custody where he was released to appear in court at a later date.
Assault
Sarah Cole, 32, of Akwesasne was arrested on May 11th, 2020 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 11th, 2020, police were called to a residence regarding an unwanted person. Police attended the residence and placed the female in custody where she was later release on conditions and to appear in court at a later date.
Impaired Operation, Over 80
Alexander J. Michaud-Thompson, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2020 and charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle, and Over 80, following a vehicle stop in Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island). It is alleged on May 3rd, 2020 police stopped a vehicle under the Akwesasne curfew by-law. The male was taken into custody and release to appear in court at a later date.
Dangerous Operation
Carter D. Cook, 27, of Akwesasne was arrested on April 26th, 2020 and charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged on April 26th, 2020 while conducting a vehicle stop, the suspect nearly struck a police officer who was outside of his vehicle. The male was taken into custody and release to appear in court at a later date.
Impaired, Operation Over .80, Prohibited Driving
Kacey C. Printup, 29, of Akwesasne was arrested on March 21st, 2020 and charged with Operation while Impaired, over 80, and Prohibited Driving. It is alleged on March 21st, 2020, the female was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from driving and impaired by alcohol. She was taken into custody and released to appear in court on a later date.
