CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ONTARIO FIRST NATIONS 2SLGTBQQIA+ COUNCIL

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is looking for a passionate community member to represent Akwesasne on the Ontario First Nations 2SLGBTQQIA+ Council (“2S+ Council”). This is a volunteer role.

The 2S+ Council ensures 2SLGBTQQIA+ voices are heard in regional decision-making and works to promote awareness, inclusion, and acceptance in First Nations communities across Ontario. Representatives can be community members, Chiefs, Councillors, or Technicians.
