Computers Services

"Through innovation Computer Services will guide MCA programs into future technologies"

Computer Services was originally introduced in January 1989 by Henry Lickers, Director of Environment. At the time, his was the only computer that existed at MCA. Once the need was recognized, MCA's number of computers increaseddramatically and Computers Services was formed.
Today, Computer Services oversees the maintenance, repair, upgrades, etc. of more than 600 computers and we are currently in the process of increasing our number of staff to accommodate the need.

Helpdesk Technician

The Helpdesk support technician provides telephone assistance for all troubleshooting calls. Unsolved calls are then rerouted to an available technician, according to priority and need. The helpdesk supports technician arranges and coordinates regular maintenance, repair and upgrade services on computer equipment; and maintains a workorder and inventory database to keep track of all calls and computer equipment.

Computer Technicians

The Computer Technicians research and analyze all the computer needs of Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. They provide a computer service that has proved to be invaluable.

The services they provide are as follows:

Software Developer

The Software Developer creates and maintains customized software applications for the various departments of MCA.

This service is essential to Mohawk Council operations because of the implementaion of the many software applications that are being deployed in place of manual "paper" operations.

The developers are also responsible for all the web development and updating.
