COUNCIL APPROVES ADDITIONAL FUEL ASSISTANCE FUNDS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne has approved an additional allocation of $200 in fuel assistance to all community members who were participants of the 2020-2021 Fuel Assistance Program. These funds will provide an additional relief to our community members who continue to experience strains and hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to spend more time at home.

Community members do not need to re-apply for the$200 allocation; anyone who received the 2020-2021 fuel assistance will automatically receive these additional funds, which will be transferred directly to the vendor named in the original application. Customers can expect these funds in the coming weeks.
