COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM ANNOUNCES UPDATED HEATING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATION DATES

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Community Support Program (CSP) will be conducting Heating Assistance Program (AHAP) applications at the following sites throughout the months of October, November, and first week of December:

• Mondays & Tuesdays – Snye Homemakers (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
• Wednesdays – Sweetgrass Manor Lobby (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
• Thursdays & Fridays – A’nowara’ko:wa Arena (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

 

Applications can also be completed in the CSP office located at Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

 

Deadline for AHAP applications is December 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. 

 

CSP staff will not be contacting past recipients of AHAP. All applications must be filled out in person as CSP staff are updating the AHAP database to 2022-2023.

 

Community members interested in completing applications for the Heating Assistance Program will need to bring a valid ID and a recent heating bill (electric, hydro, propane, fuel bill, etc.).
