DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WELCOMES MAVIS WILLIAMSON AS NEW JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE PROGRAM MANAGER
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) would like to extend a welcome to Jordan’s Principle Program Manager, Mavis Williamson. Mavis began her new position as Jordan’s Principle Program Manager on August 16, 2021.
Mavis’ educational background and professional experience brings a passion for team building, and dedication to serving the public, within a confidential and professional environment, having served as a former Executive Director, Government Executive Assistant, and most recently as a Public Relations and Community Educator with MCA’s Entewatathá:wi (Nation Building) Program.
The Jordan’s Principle Program ensures all First Nations children living in Canada can access the products, services, and supports they need, when they need them. Jordan’s Principle can help with a wide range of health, social, and educational needs, including the unique needs that First Nations Two-Spirit/LGBTQ+ children and youth and those with disabilities may have.
