DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WELCOMES NEW JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE PROGRAM MANAGER

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health would like to extend a warm welcome to Kevin Buckshot. Kevin joins the Department of Health as the new Jordan’s Principle Program Manager. 

Kevin was raised in Syracuse, NY, but always knew Akwesasne was home. He moved permanently back to Akwesasne over 30 years ago. Kevin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, while also achieving and maintaining certification as a First Nation Housing Professional (F.N.H.P.). Prior to accepting the position of Jordan’s Principle Program Manager, Kevin had worked in MCA’s housing sector for many years.

Kevin believes in, and is encouraged by, the work that has been done by the Akwesasne Jordan’s Principle Program, and looks forward to continuing to grow the program throughout the community. He feels honoured and privileged to continue to grow the Jordan’s Principle Program and to assist community members in accessing its program services.
