FINAL EMERGENCY FOOD PACKAGE DISTRIBUTION
Please be advised that on Friday, May 15, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will be providing the final distribution of basic Emergency Food Packages to community members. The EFP’s contain basic pantry supplies for a family and limited fresh foods, based on supplies received. It will be first come, first served for community members in need. An alternative for families with continued need will be announced shortly.
Please be respectful to all front-line staff that are working hard to ensure that community members receive the Emergency Food Packages. MCA staff have a right to refuse service to any community member that is being disrespectful or threatening the safety of our employee(s).
The Emergency Food Packages will be limited to ONE (1) box per vehicle. Please stay in your vehicle; MCA staff will place the box into your vehicle in a drive-thru manner.
Emergency Food Packages can be picked up starting at 12 p.m. The hour of 11 a.m.-12 p.m. is reserved for elders’ pick-up only.

The food pick-up sites are done in conjunction with home deliveries to AMBE families, elders and those with limited mobility (in self-quarantine, etc.). Individuals are welcome to pick-up if they can safely do so; however, if you need to make arrangements for delivery, please call the Emergency Operation Center before Wednesday, May 13 at 5 p.m.
Please note resources are limited and priority will be given to most in need.
