FIRST NATIONS CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES INFO SESSIONS

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is hosting community information sessions to share important details about First Nations Child and Family Services (FNCFS), a federally funded program that supports the well-being of First Nations children and families.

Through FNCFS, funding is provided to help deliver essential child and family services, with a strong focus on prevention and cultural connection. Resources are available to support operational needs, strengthen family-centered programs that help keep children in their homes, and assist with the costs of out-of-home care when necessary.

Community members are invited to attend an information session to learn more about the program and how it serves Akwesasne families. Sessions will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Monday, March 3 – Iohahi:io Akwesasne Education & Training Institute
  • Tuesday, March 4 – Kawehno:ke Recreation Center
  • Friday, March 7 – St. Regis Recreation Center
