EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT INDIGENOUS YOUTH CAREER INITIATIVE

The Indigenous Police Chiefs of Ontario (IPCO) has teamed up with various First Nations agencies to host a week-long field trip for youth interested in policing and/or emergency management.

From August 11-17, 2024, participants will have the opportunity to learn about career paths in public safety while receiving both cultural and emergency management training (First Aid/CPR, Live Fire/Extinguisher, etc.). Some of the activities scheduled includes visits to the University of Waterloo and Niagara Falls, along with drum-making, wall-climbing, and more.

This trip is open to Akwesasronon youth ages 15-17.
