KAWEHNO:KE — TRAFFIC NOTICE
TO THE RESIDENTS OF KAWEHNOKE APARTMENT ROAD, ISLAND ROAD & SURROUNDING AREA
The MCA Dept. of Technical Services would like to inform the community of a project that may delay traffic on Kawehno:ke in the upcoming days. On Thursday, December 12, Guildcrest Pre-Fabricated Building Units are being transported between the hours of 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The transport trucks will come from Cornwall, ON and head east at the crossroads to the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena.
On Friday, December 13, delivery will continue east to the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program property (19 Kawehnoke Apartment Road) between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There may be traffic delays on this delivery route during the provided times as the trucks carrying the units will be assembled with an escort vehicle in front. The Akwesasne Mohawk Police will be assisting with guiding traffic on both days.
Priority is given to the enhanced safety measures of the travelling public and to the safety of the people involved in the movement of the loads.
