MCA PROUDLY RECOGNIZES 2024 AKWESASNE STUDENT BURSARY RECIPIENTS
Each year, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) partners with the Bank of Montreal (BMO) and Enbridge to award bursaries to Akwesasne youth pursuing post-secondary education. On July 26, MCA hosted a luncheon and ceremony at the Kana:takon Recreation Center to honor these outstanding students and their sponsors.
Acting Grand Chief Cindy Francis-Mitchell and Tsi Snaihne District Chief Sarah Lee Sunday-Diabo addressed the attendees, offering words of encouragement. They emphasized the significance of acknowledging our youth’s achievements and encouraged them to seek support from the community whenever needed.
