MCA PROVIDES STATEMENT ON CONCERNS FOR COMMUNITY SAFETY

Through social media posts and community members’ concerns, it was brought to the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s attention that a community member serving time may possibly be in the community. Please know we are aware of this matter and ask for your patience and understanding as we work with the appropriate officials.

 

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne operates programs and services to assist persons entering back into the community as well as assisting victims. There are numerous assumptions, interpretations, and opinions related to this matter and we ask the community to be cognizant of the families that reside in the community.
