MCA REPORTS TWO NEW POSITIVE CASES OF COVID-19

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Community Health Program reports that there are two new active cases of COVID-19 reported in the northern portion of the community as of Nov. 6, 2020. This brings the total active cases in MCA’s jurisdiction to five (5), with ten (10) cases overall since the beginning of the pandemic. Five (5) cases have been resolved.

The surge in new cases in both the northern and southern portions of the community requires all of us to be diligent in practicing all safety measures to avoid further spread of COVID-19. We cannot let our guards down.

Please avoid any unnecessary travel and social gatherings and always wear a mask in public locations.  Let’s keep each other, and ourselves, safe.

If you need to be tested for COVID-19, please make an appointment with MCA’s Community Health Program by calling 613-575-2341 ext. 3220.
