MCA WELCOMES ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is pleased to welcome Ann Seymour to the organization as Executive Director for a 1-year term, effective March 14, 2022. During this timeframe, the position will be formally posted.   

 

Ms. Seymour is Ojibway and a registered member of Wikwemikong Unceded Territory. She shares that she is married to Travis Seymour of Akwesasne and they are the parents of four young adults.

 

Ms. Seymour has a Master’s degree in Social Work (McGill), a Master’s in Business Administration (Simon Fraser University), and is currently working on a PhD. Her research interests include mental health and wellness, suicide prevention, and reconnecting to the land to promote wellness.   She is also a Registered Social Worker (RSW), and Certified First Nations Health Manager (CFNHM).
