MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE FOR MARGARET TERRANCE

FORMER MCA DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY & SOCIAL SERVICES

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) would like to extend its condolences to the family, friends, and former coworkers of Margaret Terrance.

Maggie, as she was known by many, was a part of MCA’s Senior Management Team, serving the community as the director of the Department of Community & Social Services (DCSS) from 2001 to 2016. MCA is fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Maggie who devoted over fifteen years to providing administration guidance in the area of social services that included policy development and program improvements and growth.

Under her guidance and leadership, she was successful in strengthening programming to ensure the maximum benefits were available, and the Akwesasne community continues to benefit from her efforts today.

MCA is appreciative for the contributions Maggie made to the organization as she led the department in a new direction.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
