Daily Briefing
June 9, 2009
11am
A Medic Trailer is now available at the Rally Site for non-emergency care.
A Small Vessel Advisory has been issued by MCA EOC. Due to the increased traffic on the River, smaller vessels are asked to exercise caution when approaching larger vessels in the Seaway. Smaller vessels are able to stop much faster than the larger vessels so please proceed with caution.
Attention Boat Operators: please have a light on your boat during night transports. In general, night transports are not recommended but if you must be on the river after dark, please have a lantern or other light on board.
Attention Pontoon Owners: More boats, especially pontoons, are needed for Transport Service. If you are interested in volunteering your boat for an extended time for this service, please contact MCA’s Environment Department at (613) 936-1548 Ext. 1039. In order to keep the service open to all community members during this time, more boats are needed.
Dr. Young will have a walk-in clinic on Wednesday, June 10 from 8:30-11am at the Kawehnoke Medical Clinic. For more information call the Kawehnoke Medical Clinic at (613) 932-5808.
