Winner of Akwesasne Family Wellness Program's NHL Winter Classic Tickets

The Akwesasne Family Wellness Program is dedicated to assisting community members and our neighbors through education for prevention and empowerment. As program criteria grows, so does the need for updated and efficient facilities. The Akwesasne Family Wellness Program offers 6-16 week in-house programming, day programming, outpatient programming, offers a variety of Life Skills workshops to the public throughout the year, and continuously promotes awareness for private, personal and social issues.
This past month, Staff at the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program sold raffle tickets to help raise money toward a new facility. The Grand Prize includes two tickets to the NHL Winter Classic in Foxboro, Massachusetts, with the Boston Bruins hosting the Montreal Canadians (donated by Emond Harnden LLP) plus $1,000.00 Canadian cash for travel costs. Consolation prizes were also selected from the draw.
The winners of the tickets are:
Grand Prize: 2 tickets to the NHL Winter Classic plus $1,000.00 Canadian - Tyler Fuller
2nd: Hockey Jersey of Choice from Rookez-Edge 400 Second St W, Cornwall – Norman King
3rd: Portable Grill – Jamie Terrance
4th: AFWP Family Fun Pack – Joseph Lazore
Niawenko:wa goes out to staff for their dedication, along with individuals who worked hard at helping us out: Abe Francis, Pat Dussault – OPP, Cynthia Lord – RCMP/AMPS, Robert White – AMPS, Jon Tarbell (sold the winning ticket), Tommy Herne, Erin Herne, Tracy Diabo, Swamp’s Performance, Swamp’s Tire Shop and Herbs and Thyme in Massena.
