EXTERNAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

NCBR 16-17

The National Child Benefit Reinvestment (NCBR) Committee on behalf of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA), is requesting all 2016/2017 recipients of the NCBR funds to submit your final reports no later than Friday, February 17, 2017 at 3:00pm. Failure to comply with this procedure will result in your forfeiture of the remainder of your approved budget and subsequent proposals for 2016/2017 not being accepted. If all approved funds are not spent by the final report due date, please forecast how the funds will be spent by March 31, 2017. Your time and cooperation for another successful year is greatly appreciated.

Completed NCBR final reports are to be delivered to the Department of Community and Social Services Administration Office at the Kanonhkwatsheri:io Health Facility in Kanatakon (St. Regis).

Note: The deadline for receipt of NCBR Final Reports is 3:00pm on Friday February 17, 2017 - No exceptions!

AKWESASNE WINTER CARNIVAL - HOSTED BY THE SNYE RECREATION COMMITTEE

The Akwesasne Winter Carnival will take place from Friday February 10th - Sunday February 12th, 2017 with many different activities taking place. Please see the attached flyers for more information.

 

SUPER BOWL SQUARES BENEFIT

Super Bowl Squares are being sold to benefit Cayde Lazore's travel expenses to Barcelona, Spain to play in the International Youth Soccer Tournament. Super Bowl Squares are $20each and will payout $1000 for the final score. Please contact Cheyenne Lazore at the Aboriginal Rights and Research Office (A.R.R.O) to purchase squares.

SNOW REMOVAL ON PRIVATE ROADS 

Please see the attached flyer for contacts and a listing of snow removal services for private roads. Note: MCA does not maintain private road ways and driveways. Any snow removal service will be at cost to the customer.

 

TSIKIONHE - AS WE LIVE

The Office of Vital Statistics along with representatives from Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home, will be holding Workshops on Wills & Estate Planning. Please join us to discuss pre-planning and personalized planning. Workshops will take place on Feb. 15, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at the Tsi Snaihne Homemakers and on Feb. 18, 2017 from 11am-1pm at the Kanatakon Recreation Center.
