NOTICE OF PROJECT TO RESIDENTS OF KAWEHNO:KE APARTMENT ROAD & HICKORY STREET
The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Technical Services would like to advise the residents of Kawehno:ke Apartment Road, Hickory Street and surrounding area that construction work has started at the Akwesasne Family Wellness Program (19 Kawehno:ke Apartment Road). The planned project consists of site work, foundation work and delivery of two prefabricated buildings to be located on the property site.
Please be advised during this construction phase that there may be an increase to traffic flow with heavy machinery on this roadway at various times. Safety measures are in place, and the contractor (Akwesasne Earth Movers) will have flagmen on-site when direction of traffic is needed as the project proceeds.
Delivery of the prefabricated units is scheduled for Thursday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 27. Project is estimated to be completed by mid-December.
