Precautionary Swimming Advisory

Swimming Advisory: The Water/Wastewater Program has issued a precautionary swimming advisory, effective August 9, 2024 for 24 hours – until August 10th at 11 p.m. Please do not swim in the St. Lawrence River or its local tributaries. Due to the heavy rainfall, contaminants and bacteria may flow from the Northern New York Watershed, including the St. Regis River, Grasse River, and Raquette River. For your own safety, please avoid swimming during this period.
