REDUCED WATER NOTICE ON KAWEHNO:KE WITH WATER INTERRUPTION ON ISLAND ROAD
ATTENTION RESIDENTS: The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Water/Waste Water Program is notifying residents of Kawehno:ke/Cornwall Island that there is a waterline leak and community members may experience a water interruption from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Community members that reside between 117 Island Road to 175 Island Road will have their water shut off so that the waterline may be repaired. All of Kawehno:ke is on a reduced water notice during this time.
Kawehno:ke residents are asked to please refrain from using high water demand amenities such as washing dishes, laundry and dishwashers until further notice. We at the Water /Wastewater Program are working diligently to rectify the unfortunate incident and hope to have the water back to normal in a timely manner.
We will notify the community when normal water usage can resume.
