ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCES SUSPENSION ON ACCEPTANCE OF CANNABIS RETAIL LICENSE APPLICATIONS

As per MCR 2021/2022 – #186, the Office of Economic Development is notifying the community that as of December 22, 2021, the acceptance of Cannabis Retail License Applications will be on a freeze. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will re-evaluate this resolution in 180 days of the date of this resolution; or if a current licensed cannabis retailer closes, this resolution will be rescinded to provide an opportunity for a new retail license. 

 

Please be advised that this MCR does not affect cultivation or other licensing under the Approved Interim Cannabis Regulation (October 1, 2018, MCR 2018/2019 – #212).
