TSIIONKWANONHSO:TE EXTENDS THANK YOU/NIAWENHKÓ:WA TO STAFF AND COMMUNITY

The Tsiionkwanonhso:te Management Team would like to say a huge thank you/niawenhkó:wa to our Registered Nurses (RN’s), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN’s), and Personal Support Workers (PSW’s) for all their hard work and dedication, for they show the true meaning of being a hero every day; the Dietary staff for keeping the residents fed throughout the pandemic; Housekeeping staff for keeping the facility clean and sanitized; and the Laundry staff for keeping residents clothing and linens clean and disinfected.

We would also like to thank the following community members for their fundraising efforts, having raised over $20,000.00 for our residents: Akwesasne Memories Matter, Marlon Johnson, CKON, and Valene Gray.

Various items have been purchased for our residents as well, providing them with a 65” tv for the West Lobby, five (5) 35” tv’s for those residents without a television in their residence, six (6) DVD players, and Christmas presents were purchased for residents to open on Christmas morning. Future plans are in place to purchase air conditioners for each resident.

Also, thank you to David Thompson (Thompson Motor Sports), Issac McDonald, Jordan Tarbell, Tehaienkwarentos Thompson, and the Hogansburg/Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department (HAVFD) for going above and beyond by picking up our huge order of laundry products and isolation carts, for each of our resident’s bedrooms.

Tsiionkwanonhso:te would also like to say Thank You/Niawenhkó:wa to the Akwesasne community, for understanding that our number one priority is keeping the residents, staff and their families safe during these most difficult and trying times.

The compassion and generosity of the Akwesasne community is next to none. Niawenhkó:wa/Thank You, from the bottom of our hearts. Tsiionkwanonhso:te staff, residents, and the Management Team are eternally grateful for all the generosity and kind gestures during this time.
