UPCOMING AMBE ELECTION
The Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education has announced an upcoming election. There is one 3-year term available in each of the Districts of Kana:takon, Kawehno:ke, and Tsi Snaihne.
Nominations will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the following locations:
- Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School Gym
- Kana:takon School Gym
- Tsi Snaihne School Gym
Candidates have until Thursday, October 17, before 12 p.m. to accept a nomination.
Advance Polls, if needed, will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, & Thursday, October 24, 2024, by appointment only at the Akwesasne Justice Department, located at 45 Johnson Road in Kana:takon. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Chief Electoral Officer (information is below).
The Election, if needed, will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following location:
- Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School Gym
- Kana:takon School Gym
- Tsi Snaihne School Gym
Voters Lists are available for viewing at the following locations:

Please check if your name is on the Voters List. If it is not, please submit Schedule G & Schedule H forms, along with proof of your address to the Akwesasne Justice Dept.
