UPDATE: MOHAWK COUNCIL OF AKWESASNE TO HOLD BY-ELECTION FOR KAWEHNO:KE DISTRICT CHIEF

The Acting Executive Director has called for a by-election for the position of one (1) District Chief in the District of Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island).  

 

Nominations will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kawehno:ke Recreation Center.   

 

A by-election, if needed, will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School (AMS) on Cornwall Island.
