WORLD WETLANDS DAY

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Environment Program and the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) invite you to join us for a World Wetlands Day Celebration on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cooper Marsh Conservation Area.

This free, family-friendly event offers a chance to explore the beauty and importance of wetlands through:
• Interactive displays and activities hosted by local environmental organizations
• Guided snowshoe tours around the Marsh
• A kids’ nature photography exhibit
• Delicious traditional dishes
• Opportunities to win wetland-themed prizes

Drop by the Marsh’s Visitors Centre and enjoy a day filled with fun, learning, and connection to nature.

Please note: The Visitors Centre is a short two-minute walk from the parking lot. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather!

We look forward to celebrating with you!
